IAFD folder-based info scrape vs IAFD file-based info scrape Question

Postby Sonny Chiba » Thu Jan 31, 2019 9:26 pm

Hello,

Hoping that this question is OK since I don't see the 'Development has ceased' post any longer, so thanks in advance for any help.

There seem to be some differences in the information that gets returned when downloading information via IAFD for a folder versus that of an individual video file.

For a folder-based info scrape, there is neither a back cover downloaded into the Media Art, nor is there any available information regarding studio or production date, director, etc. included in the Details tab.

Not sure if anything can be done about this, but I thought I would point it out since it would be nice information to have in a single scrape at the folder level instead of the file level (since, more often than not, I have multiple video files within and it would be preferable not to have scrape things twice).

Thanks again for your efforts and such a useful and multifaceted application.

I have to admit, I'm gutted to hear that this endeavor may soon end.

Yes, media art and media properties cannot be assigned at the Category/Folder level.

It would take some work to add this functionality and development is currently on hold as of now.
